2 Timothy 3:14-17, But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
There is a critical problem in a large majority of churches today around the world. There are too many “pew sitters” who come to church only when there is nothing else to do on Sunday. So many Christians are looking for entertainment or sensationalism over the truth of God’s Word. Sadly, they let pride or laziness get in the way of becoming grounded in the Word. This is not a problem that has just started it has been hurting God’s people for many centuries. In the book of Hosea God says that His people are being destroyed due to not knowing His word. That was revealed to The Children of Israel but still applies to us today (Hosea 4:6).
If you were to ask someone that became a professional golfer or baseball player what their secret was, they would tell you it was the results from three things, practice, practice and more practice. They most likely did this every day of their lives. The same applies to us as Ambassadors to Christ Jesus. When Jesus ascended to Heaven after His resurrection, he left us all with a specific mission. His last words here in this world were that we were to carry his gospel to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:7-9).

There are too many that are “church Hopping” trying to find the perfect church. Saying “oh I felt the spirit more in that church than I did in the last church I went to.” The church you go to any time is simply a building, brick, mortar, lumber, nails and so on. God does not dwell in any building waiting for people to come and see Him, The Holy Spirit of God dwells in the hearts of his people. If someone does not have the spirit dwelling within their heart, they will not feel the spirit in church or any other place they might find themselves.
If God is dwelling in your heart today, then you will feel a natural desire to learn more about Him. No one will have to tell you that you should study the Bible on a daily basis. This is something that you will do daily to nourish your spiritual life just like you eat food every day to keep your physical body nourished.
