Hebrews 1:2 In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.
From the dawn of the
beginning of this world we call home, God has communed with us in various and
diverse manners. From the outset, He spoke through His selected Prophets and
other people of God. His marvelous and stunning creation speaks volumes about
its creator. Every bloom on the massive number of trees and plants that jacket
this planet declares His creativity; every flying creature sings the beautiful
song of his spectacular and amazing care. Every movement of our being and every
step we take on God’s green earth declares and decrees His benevolent and
merciful nourishing power.
From the beginning of
time humanity has sought after ways to draw near the perfect and unadulterated
creator of all in heaven and all on earth. However, sin has created an
everlasting and perpetual chasm between the creator and the created.
When our first parents
ushered sin into the world, God, through His grace and mercy, provided a way
out of the penalty of sin which is death (Romans 6:23). This great plan
of redemption for all that would accept it came at the appointed time of the
almighty God, Our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus came into the world to carry out
God’s great plan of salvation. The Father sent His one and only Son to the
world and with faith in Jesus as the promised Messiah all can know salvation
and eternal life. The Messiah came in the person of Christ Jesus to dismantle
and decimate the barricade between God and humanity that grew out of the sin in
this world
God's conclusive,
faultless and comprehensive Word came to us in these ending days through His
sinless, and blameless Son. There can be no words that may fall on God’s ear
that does not go through our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus (John 14:6).
Many people know of God’s outwardly being, many may know God on some supposable
high plain of intellectual superiority. Some others might possess a historical
knowledge of who God is and how He works. However, there are just a few that
submerge themselves in an authentic true plan of spiritual growth. Too few
people can say that I am closer to God today than I was yesterday and I will be
closer to Him tomorrow than I am today.
With every day that
passes, we should strive to get to know God on a personal level and offer up to
Him our lives as a daily sacrifice. This is not to be one glorious flash of
sacrifice but a day by day of giving ourselves to others in the service of
Christ Jesus. While we keep our reflectors clean and clear of worldly chattel
so that we might be a good reflector for the light of Christ Jesus that shines
before this lost, dark and dying world.
