Bible Verse of the Day Tuesday June 8th 2021

Exodus 14:13 Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again.

This verse is a message from Moses to the Children of Israel that is still just as strong today as it was when God gave it to Moses. "Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord." God's people Israel jubilantly paraded out of Egypt because they placed their faith and trust in God. They were protected by the atoning blood of the Passover Lamb and were shielded from the death angel because they believed in the Word of God. They had been freed from the chains and bondage of slavery by God's grace through their faith.

However, when they fled from the Egyptians the Children of Israel precipitously realized they were encircled by their enemy on three sides while facing the Red Sea ahead of them. The response of the Israelites was intense fear together with a flood of bitter complaints, which were launched at their leader Moses, as well as God Himself. Even though they called out to God in terror and fear the prayers held up to God that day were lacking in true belief, and void of any trust and faith in God that had just set them free.

How comparable our responses are In this day in age, even though we are redeemed by the Blood of Christ Jesus shed on the Cross of Calvary, we focus on our problems instead of the saving grace of God. Much akin to the Israelites sometimes we detect an abundance of tribulations obstructing our walk with Christ Jesus. But instead of placing our faith in the one that can guide and direct our every step, we often forget the many promises we have in God and concentrate our attention on the trial or trials that we find ourselves going through.

How comfortable we become blaming God and permitting distress and anxiety to inundate our hearts and souls instead of trusting in His abundant power. God’s grace is abundant and never-ending, we will always receive grace in the place of grace we have already seen (John 1:16). It is somewhat like standing beside a powerful river and watching as the water flows by. The water we are seeing is not the same water that just passed us by, but it is water replacing the water we have already seen. The grace we receive from God is not the same grace we received five minutes ago, but His grace will never run dry. There will never be a time that our enemy is pursuing us that our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus will not be right there protecting us.
