Bible Verse of the Day Tuesday September 28th 2021

1 Corinthians 1:5-7 For in him you have been enriched in every way —with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge — God thus confirming our testimony about Christ among you. Therefore, you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed.

God bestows many beautiful gifts on His children, two of which are in this verse of Scripture from 1 Corinthians 1:5-7, the gifts of speech and knowledge. For Christians to tell others about the gospel's good news, we must have the gift of communication skills. The gift of knowledge is critical after having the gift of speech. Although we cannot tell people what we don't know, the gift of knowledge is the ability to grasp the truth of the Word of God. God does this so that His followers and believers will follow His will and not their own.

God speaks to people of the world through surrendered and committed followers and believers. Sadly, many Christians do not spend the time needed to understand the message of the Cross, the message of grace and truth. We must have a clear grasp on the Gospel Faith and its impact on the lives of all of those we meet. Although there is never a satisfactory excuse for not sharing our faith; we can't say that we don't know the words to say (Gift of speech), or how we should say it (Gift of Knowledge), sharing our faith to a lost, dark and dying world is not an option for a Christian (Ephesians 6:19). God is not seeking our ability; He seeks our availability. Therefore, he will speak through us with the most powerful force in the universe, the Holy Word of God (1 Peter 3:15).

When we witness Christ Jesus and His gospel, it is not from us but from the witness of God. He uses the individual Christian and the Church, but where the rubber meets the road God confirms the gospel's truth. We can have the confidence in knowing it is the power of God's Word that we are referencing. One who is a faithful witness of Christ is always aware of the power behind what we are saying (Acts 1:8). Jesus is coming back one day, in somewhat of the same manner that He ascended to heaven (Acts 1:11).

The coming of Christ Jesus will be a day of exaltation for those whose names are in the Book of Life; for those that are not, it will be a must more dreaded time. That is why, as Children of God, we must study and learn His Word so that we might glean the knowledge of His Word and be able to communicate the true gospel in a world of false teachers. Paul is teaching that God gives to everyone in Christ Jesus, all that is required to spread the gospel of truth, grace, and mercy.

As a new creation in Christ, it enriches us in many ways; there is nothing that we lack as a believer. However, Satan will fill our heads with an information flow of the ways of our old life so that we might not see our failures from the "old person." This satanic lie is why we must continue to renew our minds and put on the new self, consigning the "old person" to their assigned deep, dark grave. This consignment can only be accomplished through a consecrated prayer life, a total surrender to God's will, an in-depth Bible Study program, and fellowship with other Christians (Hebrews 10:25).
