1 Corinthians 2:10-12 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.
First,
we can know God by what He reveals to us in the Bible. The Holy Spirit is the
creator of Scripture. He utilized human specialists to put Scripture in a
composed structure; however, the Holy Spirit revealed Scripture to the human
creators. The Holy Spirit is the instrument of revealing God in written form.
Paul
uses the term in this verse of Scripture "to us" to differentiate
between followers of Jesus and the principles of the secular world. The world's
influencers utilize science and philosophy but cannot ever agree in total
consensus on any given subject. The world has learned to accept the false
precept that truth is relative. What might be true in one person's eyes is not
necessarily true. As followers and believers in Christ Jesus, we know that
there is only one truth that comes from God (John 14:6).
The
Holy Spirit searches God's characteristics, handiwork, and directions and
chooses from "all things" what would be applicable and relevant for
the Child of God. The Holy Spirit does not search to discover the truth; He
already knows that, but what would be advantageous to the servants of God's
Word. There is a difference between revelation and inspiration. Revelation is
the procedure where the Holy Spirit gives us the content of Scripture; on the
other hand, inspiration was the administering procedure by the Holy Spirit to
safeguard that every word of Scripture is without error and precise (2 Timothy
3:16).
The
Holy Spirit sets Scripture in words so the followers of Christ can be aware of
the exactness of what God needs to say. We hear specific individuals say that
Bible study is exhausting and dry, that is equivalent to saying what God has to
say is exhausting and dry. We live in a day where no one wants to tolerate true
sound doctrine, the world's followers wish to guzzle their own ideas and
desires. This process is the beginning of turning away from the truth of the
Word of God (2 Timothy 4:3).
God
set this process up so that all that seek after the truth of His Word will know
that the wisdom of His Word is from the spirit that comes from God. This
message does not indicate that all followers and believers in Christ Jesus will
possess equal spiritual wisdom. Furthermore, the message here in this verse of
Scripture is not saying that we will all comprehend God's mysteries. Instead,
Paul is saying that the foundation of the Christian
message is open and available to all that surrender their hearts, minds,
bodies, and souls to Christ Jesus.
