Bible Verse of the Day Thursday October 20th, 2022

Psalm 119:160 All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.

This Psalm is the longest Psalm and the longest chapter in The Bible; consequently, there are untold numbers of messages in this Psalm. There is enough information from God in this one chapter of the Bible to warrant massive amounts of study and investigation. Looking for one adjective to describe God's Word becomes challenging because God's Word is true but also infallible, dependable, unfailing, reliable, trustworthy, perfect, flawless, and the list could go on and on. God's Word is accurate from the first Word in Genesis to the last Word in Revelation. Though written by a person of God, every Word in the Bible is God-directed and God-breathed.

Satan has tried to block God's plan of Salvation from the beginning. Even before God created the world, Satan tried to usurp God's authority. In the Garden, he tried to convince our first parents that the Word of God was not true and that if they disobeyed God, they would be like God, knowing Good from evil. Down through the ages of the Old Testament Prophets, Satan blinded the eyes of the Children of Israel concerning the promise of the coming Messiah. Satan used the Jewish elite to discredit Jesus and have Him killed. Then Satan used Saul to end the Christian movement, but that plan backfired on Satan because God used Saul (Paul) to carry the Gospel of Christ Jesus to the ends of the earth. Satan's plan to destroy God's church in the first century did not pan out for Him, so now he is attempting to place doubt in people's minds as to the authenticity of the truth of God's Word.

Major Denominations today say that the Bible is not the Word of God but only the inspired Word of God. These false teachers say some may have written the Bible with their own opinions and theories. This false teaching happens so that humanity can change the precepts, principles, and teachings of the Bible to go along with modern political correctness. This apostasy is Satan attempting to doubt the truth and authenticity of God's Word so that people will pay less attention to it.

God's Word is just as solid and accurate today as it was when He walked in the Garden of Eden during the cool of the day and asked Adam, "Where are you" (Genesis 3:8-9). It will be the same for the rest of the time we are in the flesh here in this life and for life to come for eternity. But, unfortunately, there will always only be a few that realize that and follow Christ Jesus (Matthew 7:14).
