Hebrews 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
This scripture verse reminds us that the Son of God, our Lord, and Savior Christ Jesus, is the radiance of God's Glory. As used here, the Greek word for radiance is apaugasma (ap-ow-gas-mah), Strong's Concordance number 541. The Greek use of the term describes it as "a light flashing from a certain source," as well as radiation and gleam. This description is somewhat like the breaking of the Sun over the horizon in the morning, as it perforates and slices through the darkness that allows all to see the beauty of God's created earth. Jesus is the brilliance of God's glory. None of us have ever seen the Sun because looking directly into the beams of its rays would damage our eyes or maybe even cause permanent blindness. Similarly, we have never seen God the Father; however, we can see Him through the gleams of Christ Jesus, the Son of God. This process happens only through God's Holy Word; Jesus is the Word (John 1:1 & 14).
Christ Jesus shares the same quintessence and embodiment as the Father; He is the shining forth of the glory of God. This verse is not telling us that Christ Jesus became the radiance of God's glory because He has existed in eternity as one with the Father. The Son of God epitomizes and exemplifies the glory and being of the Father, Jesus not only manifested God, but He was God in the flesh.
Humans depend on the fundamental laws of science as if they were independent of God Himself. All the discoveries that humanity has uncovered in all the fields of science are merely discovering the creation of God himself. God created the heavens and the Earth (Genesis 1:1). God keeps the oceans' waters in their respective beds as this tiny ball we call home rotates in the middle of an unending universe. The last sentence in this scripture tells us that Christ Jesus makes cleansing available for the world's sins. This salvation is open to all willing to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. This greatest of all gifts is there for all that recognize that everything in this world is in God's mighty and powerful hands and accept that God is in control.
Jesus bestowed a purification
for the world's sins for all those willing to accept Him as their Lord and
Savior. Christ Jesus was the final Prophet that brought forth the last word.
Sadly, too many people do not like the truth of this because surrender and
submission are foreign to their human nature. So many are going to miss the
glory of Christ Jesus for eternity because they put their faith and trust in
what the world has to offer instead of the truth that the only way to eternal
life with the savior, creator, and sustainer of all on earth is through the
shed blood of Christ Jesus on the Cross of Calvary. Jesus sat down at God's
right hand, functioning as our High Priest and our interceder with the Father
in heaven (Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25, 1 John 2:1).
