Psalms 95:6-7 Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Today, if only you would hear his voice,
Our
worship is far beyond surrendering our hearts and souls to God; it also
involves our posture. Worship is more than our heart, soul, and words offered
to God. When we comprehend God's grace that He has given us to be called his
children, what else can we do but bow down before His majesty and might? We
come before His throne as a triumphant ruler presenting an offering of
ourselves in complete submission. God chooses, however, to treat us
affectionately and sympathetically as would a loving shepherd who longs to care
for His flock.
The
reason for the Law was to showcase our sinful nature; on the other hand, the
promise's purpose was to show God's grace toward us. God did not implement His
Law to determine the vastness of His promises but to bring us into the reality
of our transgressions against Him. Even though we are all sinners, God also
implemented His Law to spotlight His mercy and grace toward us.
God is our loving Father so
consequently we have access to his throne 24/7, so we can go directly to His throne
of Grace for help in every situation we find ourselves facing. The Apostle Paul
prayed for the spiritual benefit of all believers even while he was under prison
guard of the Roman Government. The character of our prayers is judged by the
prayers we offer for other people that we know are in need. (Philippians 1:9-10;
Colossians 1:1-11; 1 Thessalonians 1:2). To know that our Father in Heaven dwells
positionally in our hearts and souls is an astonishing thought. We do not have
to conciliate Him, because our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus has taken care of
that for us on the Cross of Calvary.
Father God does not make His
dwelling inside any brick-and-mortar building, His dwelling place is in the
hearts and souls of His followers and believers. Consequently, we do not have
the right to do what we please with our bodies. If our friend loaned us their
new car, we most certainly would be very careful while we were in possession of
their automobile. We would not be willing to take a chance with someone else’s possession.
Jesus paid the ultimate price for us on the Cross of Calvary, and we belong to
Him, we are not our own. If we made a purchase from some store and waited for
them to deliver it, but it never came, we would be very disappointed. Jesus
paid the ultimate price of us and there are still many that do not give
themselves to Him, heart mind body and soul even though they have been Christians
for a long time. God does not accept partial surrender, to all that have yet to
surrender themselves completely to Jesus they do not know what they are
missing. There is no better position to be in in this world than to be
surrendered to Christ Jesus, heart, mind body and soul.
