Bible Verse of the Day Saturday May 9th, 2020

1 John 2:6 Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.

We will never be able to live our lives as Jesus lived his life perfectly when he was on this earth. God does not expect that because He knows we can't live a perfect life. We are not saved by our works or deeds because if we were all of us would be lacking, in a most drastic manner. Since we cannot live a life that would gain us access into the Kingdom of God then, “what must we do to be saved” (Acts 16:29-31). This was a question that was asked by a jailer that had been holding Paul and Silas in custody, until in response to the two missionaries praying and singing hymns an earthquake shook the foundation of the prison and opened all the doors. The Roman jailer must have recognized this as a miracle from God and he was most likely thinking that there must be some great work or devout ceremony that would usher him into the arms of Christ Jesus. Paul’s answer to that inquiry was as simple as the Gospel of Christ Jesus is simple, "believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved —you and your household " (Acts 16:31).

Believing in Christ Jesus means that we believe that He was God in the flesh when He was on this earth. We believe that He was and is the promised Messiah that would come to the earth to save the world from their sins. Believing in Christ Jesus means that we seek a constant and close relationship with Him every heartbeat of our lives. Some believe that they might need to change their lives and start going to church to be saved. We do not have the ability or the capacity to change our lives, only Christ can do that. Believing in Christ Jesus means that we love Him with all of our hearts, minds, bodies, spirits, and souls. Obedience to the Word of God reveals the nature of our relationship with Christ Jesus (John 15:14; John 14:15).

God is in a gradual process of conforming us into the image of His Son, that is why our object should be to “live as Jesus did.” Any righteousness that we have within our being is the righteousness of Christ Jesus, we have no righteousness of our own because self-righteousness is saying to God that we don’t need the indwelling of His Holy Spirit to lead guide and direct our lives, we can do that on our own. As followers and believers in Christ Jesus we must be ever alert to the problem of self-righteousness. If we allow ourselves to believe that we are somehow above being self-righteous, this could very well be an indication that we are.

The seeds that we sow as we move down the furrows of life should bring forth the fruits of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

We will never reach the goal of living a Christ-like life in the here and now, but God sees our hearts and if our hearts are fully surrendered to Jesus, we will see a closer walk with Christ Jesus today than we knew yesterday, and a closer walk tomorrow than we know today.

  1. My marriage to my husband was sweet and fun, he will call and text me at all time even when he is at work, it turned sour the moment he started seeing another girl at his work play. he will come home late and still charge me to be quiet. we already had Alvin who is 3years old. On the last vacation, he left me and our son at home and went on vacation with the mistress. this was getting out of hand then I started searching for help online then I came across Doctor ojieabu and Email him on (drojieabu111@gmail.com). i requested a reuniting love spell from the spell caster and my husband came back home exactly the hour the spell caster told me and he was remorseful for the heartache he has made me gone through
