Bible Verse of the Day Wednesday February 17th 2021

Jerimiah 32:41 I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul.

It is a heartwarming and gratifying pleasure to know that God delights and rejoices in doing good for all His Children. As humans, there is nothing in and of ourselves that would indicate why our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus should take pleasure in providing for us. We most certainly do not take any delight in ourselves because we are consistently griping and complaining under the burden of our sinfulness. It is also difficult to see why our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus should take pleasure in reaching out to us because they see our frailness and weakness. In our most vivid imagination, it is somewhat difficult to fathom.

We cannot find anywhere in God's Holy Word where the Lord delights in the beauty of the mountain ranges that protrude from His beautiful creation. There is nowhere in the Bible that finds God delighting in the massive stars in his universe. However, there are many verses in the Bible where God delights in His children (Zephaniah 3:17; Psalm 18:19; Psalm 147:11; Psalm 37:23). We do not find in His Holy Word where the Angels give Him delight, not even the cherubim or seraphim. However, He does say that very thing concerning the poor, fallen, and sinful creatures that are ourselves, saved by our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus's grace. It is difficult for us even to imagine, but God not only rejoices over us with great joy, but rejoices over us with song (Zephaniah 3:17).

When God looked upon His creation of this earth, he said: "it is good" (Genesis 1:4; 10; 18; 21), and when He saw all that He had created, He said it is very good (Genesis 1: 31). However, when He observed and considered us, sinners saved by His love and grace through the sacrifice of Christ Jesus on the Cross of Calvary, He exhibited divine outcries of joyfulness. We should always express our appreciative gratification by rejoicing in the Lord always. "In the words of Ron Hamilton in his hymn, "Rejoice in the Lord," "Give thanks to the Lord thou your testing seems long, because in the darkness He gives us a song."
