Psalm 34:1 I will extol the Lord at all times His praises will always be on my lips.
Our
salvation comes only by grace through faith, not of any good works or deeds of
ourselves. Salvation is a gift of God to all that place their faith and trust
in Him. The righteousness that we know is a declaration from God to all that
surrender themselves and accept the shed blood of Christ Jesus for the
remission of sins. It is easy to comprehend why David would declare with his
entire being, "I will extol the Lord at all times; his praises will always
be on my lips." When our praises are going out to God, and we are
glorifying His name, our attention is not on our meager and inadequate life and
inconsequential quandaries.
Our
surrender to Christ Jesus is the only way our lives will remain in a balance.
When we concentrate our entire being on our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, our
creator, and sustainer, everything in our lives will be in a correct
perspective. When we surrender our heart, mind, body, and souls to Christ Jesus,
there will be no reason for the spotlight to be on us. Our entire focus in life
will be to serve and please the Lord.
Our
Lord and Savior is worthy of our complete and all-embracing worship and praise.
He's deserving of our full whole-hearted faith and trust in every aspect of our
lives. There will be a miracle of undescribed magnitude that occurs when we
place our faith and trust and entire being into His capable hands. When we
disregard our meager power and strength and rest in His loving arms we will
discover how the Lord will calm our stormy waters.
If
we remain in a position of worship and praise to God at all times and keep our
hearts focused on our love and devotion for Christ Jesus, we will stay in right
standing before God. We should always be subservient and obedient children of
the one true God, involved in only what brings honor and glory to Him. The more
time we are in His presence through consecrated prayer, bible study, and
service to Him and others, the closer we will become to the one that made
eternal life possible for us.
We
should be thanking God every day for His Holy Word and the truth on its pages.
Our prayers should be similar to David; we would bless his name continually and
in all aspects of our lives. We should ask God to help us garner a more humble
and surrendered heart to Him in every facet of our daily walks. If today there
is something that is bearing down on your life, give it to God, and you will be
pleasantly surprised how fast He will calm the stormy waters where you find
yourself.
