Bible Verse of the Day Sunday October 31st 2021

Psalm 66:16 Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me.

Back in the 5th verse of this Psalm (Psalm 66:5), the Psalmist invites all to "come and see" what awesome and amazing deeds God has done for humankind. In this verse, the Psalmist has invited all to come and hear what God has done for Him personally. There is tremendous power in our stories of what God has done in our lives. Our testimony brings hope to the ones who hear this and know that God can and will do the same in their lives and all humankind. When someone hears about how God has changed our lives and experiencing peace beyond comprehension, most people will want that for themselves and their loved ones. When we declare to those around us what God has done in our lives and how He has answered our prayers, we invite them to join us in worship and praise.

Some Christians might feel like they are not familiar enough with God's Word to tell people of the great wonders of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. This is what Satan wants people to think, so he sows fear in the hearts of any potential witness for Christ Jesus. Let's face it, the more people know about who Jesus is and the peace and joy that can come from a life centered around Him, the fewer people are going to fall for Satan's evil traps. We overcome Satan through the precious blood of Christ Jesus He shed on the Cross of Calvary for our Salvation. We can overcome the evil influence of Satan by sharing our story with other people that have either not given their lives to Christ Jesus or have been saved but still growing in the love and knowledge of God. Since all of us, as followers and believers in Christ Jesus, are in the category of "still learning about Jesus," all people can benefit from our testimonies.

All that do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior need a basic knowledge of how to be saved. So many that are lost believe that there must be some complicated pattern of work that they must do to assure their place in the eternal Kingdom of God. It falls on us, as His children, to ensure all that first, there is nothing that we can do to obtain Salvation, and second, the only thing that is required is a faith and trust in Christ Jesus and what He has already done on the Cross of Calvary.

We do not have to be an expert in the study of the Bible or hold a Doctorate in Theology to tell others about the love and Grace of God and the saving power of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus; all we have to do is point them to the Cross.
