BIble Verse of the Day Friday February 11th, 2022

Romans 16:19-20 Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I rejoice because of you, but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

Have you ever known a time in your life that you have associated having peace in your life with crushing Satan? In these verses of scriptures, Paul exhorts the Christians in Rome and all people to be aware and informed of the aspects of good and innocent and what evil is.

Paul wrote, in the text today, that God would use the saints to crush Satan under their feet. But unfortunately, all false teaching has a satanic foundation, and Satan will never stop trying to pervert the Gospel of Christ Jesus and His churches. Consequently, we as the body of Christ must always be vigilant and ever watching for signs that Satan has sent someone into our midst, as wolves in sheep’s clothing.

The peace that Paul referenced as by the world is simply the absence of war. Peace spoken of in the Word of God is much different; it is spiritual success and richness when it has overcome or crushed some form of evil. That richness comes from the finished work of Christ Jesus on the Cross of Calvary (Revelation 12:11).

God is not advocating that we must correct a bad situation. He will do that in His time and His will. The best defense against evil Satan will bring is knowing the good rather than the corrupt and spot the genuine rather than the counterfeit. People who spot counterfeit money learn to recognize the formation and composition of actual bills. The absence of any single part of these would mean that the money they are looking at is a counterfeit. It is the same with the Gospel of Christ Jesus; the more we know about the genuine Gospel, the easier it will be to recognize the absence of one single aspect of the true Gospel.

God’s Holy Word shows us that good is much stronger than evil, even though the world would have you believe the opposite. Do not be influenced by the images brought to you by the evil standpoint and countenance of the world. God is so strong that He will crush all evil that comes against Him; Satan will feel his defeat by the very nature of God. Place your faith and trust in Christ Jesus, and the victory can be yours.

In closing, we must understand that the culmination of this will not happen until God throws Satan into the lake of burning sulfur (Revelation 20:10). However, every victory that God wins for us right now, in this life, is a great preview of that event.
