Bible verse of the Day Thursday March 17th 2022

1 Peter 3:8 Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.

One thing church solidarity doesn't mean is consistency. It doesn't mean we force everybody into a similar shape. I saw an animation that showed a religious leader scolding a young man. The adolescent had spiked hair, a stud and a chain around his neck, and all the stylish garments. The young lad had apparently committed some religious faux pas. The strict spiritual leader stood before the young lad and said, "You know, young fellow here at this church, we dress normally."

The church leader was wearing a Bishop's chapeau that towered almost two feet above the leader's head. The head of the staff had a Cross mounted on it with some variously colored ribbons hung from the staff. He also wore a very elaborate and thick robe. We might wonder just what the religious had in mind when he spoke of ordinary attire.

We don't compel everybody into a consistency of dress. At the point when we talk about Church solidarity, we mean solidarity of purpose. We suggest attention to Christ Jesus, which gives us a solid Christian bond. We hold these things in like manner and move in a similar course.

In this "me" age, everything spins around self. We anticipate that everybody should submit to our plan. God has a reason for life that rises above our tiny world. God wants the congregation's capacities in a single heart, not consistency. At high tide, every one of the little pools comes together. Solidarity delivered by the force of the Holy Spirit combines contrasts among Christians. Unity is superior to outer solidarity. Sin hauls individuals out of amicability with their family in Christ. Sin alienates us from our Lord as well as our companions.

The very young child is the focal point of his universe. He requests that we address his issues. He needs quick fulfillment. As he develops, step by step, he comes to understand that there are others in the universe. He should acclimate to them. Advancement in the Christian life comes to some degree through this arising connection with different Christians. The new Christian turns out to be progressively mindful of the requirements of others. From the get-go, he is a visually impaired, negligent little despot. He before long discovers that different Christians have freedoms. The more we experience relationships with others, the more we will develop. We will advance in development through connection. We don't grow by disregarding the issues we might have with individuals.

Some have an affection for God yet have no adoration for God's people. This theory is conflicting. They feel no liability to individuals in the local church. They think that their one job is to get the gospel out. They are half correct and half off-base. Who needs to be half right? The epistle that says, "I'm debt holder" to the lost likewise says,

Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing obligation to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law (Romans 13:8).
