Bible Verse of the Day Friday June 10th, 2022

Luke 12:11-12 “When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.”

When we want assistance, Jesus guarantees he will be there and send his Spirit to give us the words we want. Consistently, this commitment has supported those confronting oppression and disparagement throughout the ages. It assisted them with the understanding that they were never alone and didn't have to stress over having the ideal solution to everything going into confronting a threatening crowd. This same commitment supports Christians today whether they are under corporate abuse or facing the antagonism of unbelievers in our working environment, at school, or at home. While confronting our foes, we realize we are in good company; our Savior will always be with us.

Christ Jesus assured all that came after Him that even though they would face some of the same tribulations He went through, He would always be right there with them. Millions of Christ-followers have faced similar challenges and have enjoyed sustaining the power of the Holy Spirit of God since those days. Similarly, as the early followers of Christ Jesus, we can have the same assurance as His first disciples. Jesus' followers then and today can have the perfect confidence in the words to speak even though we are sometimes not as prepared as we would like.

This verse of scripture assures us that at the time, the Holy Spirit will lead us in what we should be saying. This promise is certainly not a justification for inadequate planning in preaching and teaching the Word of God. Instead, it is a secure promise that the Holy Spirit will provide strength and guidance for persecuted Christians to have the words to testify about the saving power of Christ Jesus.
