Bible Verse of the Day Thursday June 23rd, 2022

Psalm 37:6-7 He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways when they carry out their wicked schemes.

Don’t worry is the message that we receive from heaven. We can come to the throne of God with reliance and confidence. However, the world might ask: “how can we do that?” The answer is we know God will see to our every need as He has done from the beginning of time. The Bible is God telling us the story of life and how He will never leave or forsake us. God desires our faithful trust in His Word and our faith in His Son Jesus, who surrendered His life on the Cross so that we may know eternal life.

When the faithful followers of Christ Jesus come into their future glory, they will reflect the magnificent glory of God in the New Heaven and the New Earth (Revelation 21:1-2). Believers in Christ Jesus will exit their present home here on this earth and live eternally in their final kingdom. The point the Psalmist makes here in this verse of Scripture is that Christians must remain patient because God will keep His promises in full. God has promised to provide for all the needs of those who place their faith and trust in Him. Therefore, we can wait with patients on Him and not agonize with a fearful heart that God has abandoned us.

Remaining still before the Lord means that we are resting in God, a rest of silence, not putting forth self-protection processes. We do not have to justify ourselves because God has promised to shield and defend His Children. Our Lord and Savior was silent before the ones that nailed Him to the Cross, and we can stay silent and trust that God will work on our behalf into eternal life. Inspired silence is a rare commodity in this day and age. Most folks will not put up with silence; however, if we cannot learn to remain silent before God, we will never understand or come into His peace. The bottom line that David is teaching in this Psalm is that the surrendered child of God does not have to allow the success of the evil to affect our standing with God, where we will depart from His will.
