Luke 10:22 "All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him."
Just
after the resurrection of Jesus and right before He ascended back to heaven, He
told the eleven disciples that the Father gave Him all authority on earth and
in heaven (Matthew 28:18). Jesus not only professed to have equivalent standing
and eminence as the Father but pronounced that He had the power and authority
to forgive sin and bring the dead back to life. Even though Jesus was wholly
and completely God, he was altogether human. Jesus, the second person in the
trinity, became Christ Jesus, a man, and set the pattern for how all people
should live in total reliance on the Father. Jesus spent his entire earthly
life in surrender and resignation to the will of Father God.
When
Adam and Eve committed the first sin in the Garden of Eden, humanity became at enmity
with God and consequently no longer followed God's will. Christ Jesus as God
became fully human and dwelt among us following the will of God altogether. He
gave us an example to follow as we live a surrendered life to the will of God.
All things on earth and in heaven come under the regency of the Son, our Lord,
and Savior Christ Jesus. Christ Jesus was the eternal Son of God, co-equal with
the Father in all aspects. He was also born from the seed of the woman living
His life as totally sinless to reveal God to the Human race. Jesus fulfilled
the will of Father God for the benefit of all people, to bring salvation to all
that place their faith and trust in Him as the true promised Messiah.
Jesus
lay aside His divine entitlement and became a human being so that through faith
in Him, all that surrender to Him become adopted children into the royal family
of God (Ephesians 1:5). Like a child that has been adopted into an earthly
family when we accept the gift of salvation from Christ Jesus; we are then part
of His family with all the benefits and advantages thereof. The Apostle Paul
writes that the Spirit testifies with our Spirit that as saved believers in
Christ Jesus, we are co-heirs with Christ in God's Family (Romans 8:16-17).
Being co-heirs with Christ Jesus in God's royal family is the most significant
inheritance one could ever receive. Jesus has a place prepared for us; one day,
we will be there with Him in The Kingdom of God for eternity (John 14:3;
Ephesians 2:6).
