Colossians 3:3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
The "old
person," the one we were before we came to know Christ Jesus as our Lord
and Savior, is dead (Ephesians 2:1). The natural person is physically alive,
but they are spiritually dead. The one who has surrendered their lives to
Christ Jesus is physically and spiritually alive. The carnal person is not
evolving because they are in a constant state of enmity with God. Evil is
widespread throughout not only the United States but the world as well. Not a
day passes that we do not hear of killings, robberies, rapes, and all sorts of
criminal behavior. Even though the world has progressed in sickness, illness,
and the discovery of cures for known diseases, humanity's natural being is
still the same as it has been since Adam and Eve committed the first sin. The
carnal, worldly person cannot come to God. Humanities' attempt to create
religions will not advance anyone one Planck Length in their search for God.
The lack of the Holy Spirit's indwelling will block any effort to know Christ
Jesus as the Savior of the World. Without a supernatural intervention from God,
no one will ever be able to go beyond spiritual death to being spiritually
alive.
These truths
are intensely straightforward and uncomplicated and can be a life-changing
power in all that put their faith and trust in Christ Jesus. God has bestowed
blessings on all in Christ in a manner unrecognizable to the natural person.
The forgiveness of our sins and trespasses occurs because of God's love, mercy,
and grace through Jesus. This miracle occurs because of the sacrificial work of
our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, on the Cross of Calvary on our behalf.
God has
placed a "No Trespassing" alert on His Holy Word. Still, humanity
desires to go its way and refuse the unambiguous clear truth found in the pages
of the Bible. Humanity is avowing that they are making progress in their vain
self-awareness attempts to become godly. The truth from God is that we have all
sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Furthermore, God has pronounced
that calling on the name of the Lord, confessing with our mouths, and believing
in our hearts that Jesus is the true promised Messiah is the only way to
salvation (Romans 10:9-10 &13). There is only one way to God: through our
Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus (John 14:6).
