God
created humans in His image and gave them rule over all other living creatures
(Genesis 1:28). However, when Adam and Eve gave in to the temptation of Satan
to go against God's Word, the devil set up his evil worldly kingdom and
enslaved all humans in sin and ultimate death. Sin and death pass down to all
generations of the world, so consequently, we are all born into sin and death,
which includes the second death, eternal separation from God in an awful place
called Hell (Revelations 21:8)
God's
Word makes it impossible to be justified by the Law because we are all born
prisoners of sin and Satan. Consequently, with our fleshly self, we serve the
Law of sin (Romans 7:24-25). However, in God's great love and grace, He has
laid open the wickedness and evil of Satan and saved all humankind that will
believe in Him through the sacrifice of His one and only Son on the Cross of
Calvary (John 3:16). The eternal plan of salvation is open and available to all
people as God's Holy Word's chronicles and archives. As the old gospel song
states, "it is no secret what God can do." Contrary to many claims,
there is no secret code in the Bible; there is a plan by which anyone can come
to Christ Jesus for salvation that is as clear as Church bells ringing out on a
crisp spring morning.
In
Paul's Epistle to the Christians in Galatia, he spells out that God gave His
Law to humankind for one reason: to expose the need of all people for a Savior;
that would atone for the sins of the world. Furthermore, God designed the Law
to keep us always focused on our sin but makes no restitution for that sin
(Romans 3:19). Our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, unlocks our spiritual prison
doors, the very heartbeat that we place our faith and trust in Him and His
substitutionary work on the Cross of Calvary on our behalf. All Christians must
read and study the Bible to understand and comprehend the plan of Salvation
that God has laid out for all humankind. Once we are saved and know beyond any
doubt that we are free from the prison bars of sin and Satan, we should share
that message with the world. God did not save us to hold tight to our
"fire insurance policy" and warm a pew on Sunday morning.
Unfortunately, millions of people have not heard of God's plan of salvation,
and it is our responsibility as God's Children to share that with the world
(Acts 1:8).
