Psalms 95:6-7 Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Today, if only you would hear his voice,
Our
worship of God is far above anything in our hearts, souls, and words; it also
brings into view our stance and attitude. When we truly comprehend God’s grace
towards us and that He calls us His children, there is nothing we can do but
kneel before His majesty and might. God, in His ultimate love, chooses to protect and
look after us as our benevolent Shepard. We sometimes find ourselves driven by
one of life’s storms, being tossed violently on a raging sea of distress.
However, we can come to Him in humble submission giving of ourselves in His
service for His honor and glory.
There
is nothing that can befall us that happens by accident; God administers
everything that comes into our lives. The day Satan approached God and asked if
He could bother Job, God took down the hedge of protection around Job and his
family. God has a wall of protection around all His children, including us;
nothing happens in our lives that God is not in control of. We will never suffer
a disaster that does not first have God’s seal of approval.
It
is God’s desire that we place all our trials and tribulations into His capable,
caring hands and in his charge. God is working in and through all tribulation
we face to strengthen our faith and trust in Him, knowing that all that occurs
in our lives is for His honor. When we commit our lives to God, we grant Him the
opportunity to use us in great and mighty ways for His glory.
We
can easily allow trials and tribulations to become some reason we use for
drifting away from God. Some have drifted into apostasy simply because of some
rough road they find themselves on. Many see some tribulation as an excuse to
rebel against God’s Word. A comprehension of the truth of the Word of God
concerning how God uses our trials for our good and His glory will make it
clear why we go through these rough patches. If we are suffering this day and
we find our bodies racked with pain, if we feel discouraged or depressed and we
feel like we have reached the end of our path, all we have to do is put our
souls and our lives in God’s hands, and He will not only sustain us, but He
will use us for His glory and to further His gospel to the ends of the earth.
