Romans 5:1-2 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.
The salvation we know through Christ Jesus opens the gate
to numerous blessings. Sometimes, we are unaware of the abundant blessings that
come to us at the heartbeat of salvation. In some cases, it takes some time for
the new believer to grasp the magnitude of the blessings from God. However,
being saved by grace through faith in Christ unlocks countless blessings for
all believers. Christ Jesus has bountifully bestowed many beautiful blessings
upon us. One of the many wonderful gifts of God's grace to all His followers is
that we are justified, made right with God, and have peace with God through
Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior.
Everyone who has accepted the gift of salvation through the
sacrifice of Christ Jesus knows peace with God from the first breath we draw as
followers of Christ Jesus and continue for our lives here on this earth and
throughout eternity. However, God's peace is a state that can vary throughout
our lives as his children. It all depends on actively walking in the Spirit and
placing our faith and trust in God every heartbeat of our life here on earth.
The peace of God is a state of being that can vary during a
believer's lifetime. It depends on our commitment to walking in the Spirit and
putting our faith and trust in God every moment of our time on this earth.
(Philippians 4:5-7) How excellent that we can have peace with God and the peace
of God as we walk through this life filled with strife, discord, and unrest.
The wrath that God should have poured out on us because of our sin, He poured
out on His only begotten Son, who willingly took the punishment that we
deserved. He did this so that we could have peace with God forever.
The only way God will find us right is to place our total
faith in the death of Jesus on the Cross to pay the penalty for our sins. We
will never stand right before God by our good works and deeds because our
labors will never measure up to the perfect holiness of God. Christ's death
wipes our slate clean with complete forgiveness and justification, declaring us
right before God. At the heartbeat of our acceptance of Jesus as our Lord and
Savior, there is a cessation of hostility between God and us. God and humanity
stand reconciled forever.
