Bible Verse of the Day Sunday December 27th 2020

Safe and Secure in the Arms of Jesus Part 2

1 John 5:11-13 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

THE BLOOD OF JESUS!

That precious blood Jesus shed on the Cross! There on the Cross on the Hill of Calvary, the Lord Jesus took all our sins away! HE PAID FOR ALL OUR SINS! Can't you see it!  Every sin that Jesus paid for us on the Cross of Calvary, He paid for us in the FUTURE!

The beautiful truth is that the Blood of Jesus cleanses us from all our sins, past, present, and future. When we truly are saved, there will be clear evidence of a changed life because Christ Jesus will be the center and foundation of our new life. We will never lose the human fleshly desires that have plagued us from the cradle. However, when we surrender to one of these fleshly desires, we will grieve the Holy Spirit within our hearts and souls. There will be an uneasy grip on our spirits and souls that will linger until we get things right between our Lord and Savior and ourselves.

John 3:1-3 Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council. He came to Jesus at night and said, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him." Jesus replied, "Very truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.

When I first got saved, one of my sisters told me one day that there seems to be something different about you, are you going to die? I told her no, I have already done that and have been reborn.

John 1:12 we also read, "Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—

Picture a lamp in your home, disconnect the plug from the electricity line. As long as that lamp is disconnected, it is useful only as a decorative piece! BUT it was not made just for that reason - it was made for reading and walking in the darkness! Now connect it again, and your lamp will come alive! Well, Jesus is in comparison to that line of electricity. As long as you were a lost sinner, you were separated and disconnected from God! Then you received Jesus as your SAVIOR! Jesus then made you alive - spiritually speaking! The meaning and significance of God becoming our father in heaven is that we become his sons and daughters!

There are two phrases that, if we understand and can comprehend the difference between the two, can solve our problem of doubting our salvation; they are RELATIONSHIP and FELLOWSHIP!

The word relationship - your relationship to God, is God is your FATHER, and you are HIS SON or DAUGHTER! That happens the heartbeat you receive Christ Jesus! Now, that relationship never changes! We can never be born again again! And again, and again! It is not possible to be born again again and again! It is as unbelievable as it would be for us to enter our mother's womb and be born a second time physically!

Remember God has no grandchildren; all of us must establish a relationship with God, through Christ Jesus on our own,

There is an old Hymn entitled "-"You Must Be Born Again." The song goes like this... "You must be born again; You must be born again; Oh, verily, verily, I say unto you, You must be born again!"

Now, if we could lose our salvation, we would have to sing the song like this...

"You must be born again again, and again, You must be born again again, and again,  verily, I say unto you, you must be born again again, and again.

Then we would have beautiful testimonies about the first time we were saved, along with the second time we were saved, the third, the fourth, the fifth time, and on and on.

In our relationship with God, through our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, once we receive Him, we become a child of God, that relationship is established once and for all.
