Bible Verse of the Day Friday May 7th 2021

Romans 8:34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

I am sure we have all seen others stand up in church and bear their testimony; most likely, most of us have done that at times. When this happens, we hear of the great thankfulness for what Jesus did on the Cross of Calvary. We listen as people say how grateful they are that Jesus died for their sins and shed his perfect blood so that we can know eternal life with Him.

You very seldom hear anything of His continuing ministry of intercession on our behalf to the Father. We are told in God’s Holy Word that we have an advocate with the Father, Christ Jesus. This means that Christ Jesus is the only way to the Father, we can never be fooled by the devil and believe that there are others that we must go through to get to the Father (John 14:6; 1 John 2:1).

In the same way, Jesus prayed for Peter during a great trial with the devil in his lifetime, so today, Jesus intercedes for us to the Father. This essential ministry of our Savior will continue as long as His children are on this earth and in need of Him and His comfort and blessings (Luke 22:31-32). If we were to hear Christ praying for us in the next room, we would fear no enemy that came our way. Just because He is not in the same house with us, He is always there to intercede on our behalf to the Father.

Not one person can present false accusations against God’s people, because God has made every requirement in Christ’s death and place of honor at the right hand of God. Christ Jesus’ resurrection provides all the evidence we will need to know that His substitutionary work on the Cross of Calvary was all we need for our eternal security.

If you ever find yourself going through a great trial, maybe Satan is attacking you from every flank on your battlefield. Maybe you are walking through some deep dark valley and have lost all hope of ever getting back to the mountaintop. When this happens, not if this happens, because tribulation will come our way at times, all we have to do is tell Jesus about it and ask for His help. When we do go to Christ Jesus, we will see results so extraordinary it will astound us. This will happen only through our Savior’s intercession for us. All the power Satan wants us to believe he possesses; he is far outmatched by the Continuing Intercessory Ministry of Christ Jesus.
