Hebrews 2:12 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer, and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him, he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Although
the gift of salvation is free to all that accept, it came at a tremendous cost to
God the Father and His one and only Son. Jesus had to come to earth, leave His
glory behind and live as a human. Jesus was born into a fallen world separated
from God. He lived as we live in a world that Satan plagues with sin. God sent
His Son to live a human life so that He could be the sacrifice for our sin and
bring us into the Royal family of God as one of His children. We know
sanctification in and through His precious, sinless blood shed for our sin on
the Cross of Calvary. Jesus freely gave His blood to pay our sin debt so that
all who believe in Him would have eternal life.
Through
the love and grace of our savior, Jesus proclaimed to the Father we are His
brothers and sisters in the fulfillment of Psalms 22:22. Christ Jesus would
proclaim God the Father to all that would believe in His name. This messianic
prophecy came to us through the pen of David. Christ Jesus gloriously fulfilled
it through His death, burial, resurrection, His glorious ascension, and
relationship with all that believe in the sweet and precious name of our Lord
and Savior, Christ Jesus.
God
the Father vouched for the genuineness of Christ Jesus through the many signs,
marvels, miracles, and eternal gifts, which He displayed through His earthly
ministry. God performed these miracles in and through the power of the Holy
Spirit.
God's
eternal Son became one of us and identified with us. He was made sin for you
and I and followed through on the total cost of sin; Consequently, by His life,
death, and resurrection, He introduced the Father to us and proclaimed His name
to all who would accept the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross in payment of our
sin. Jesus called us, you and I, His brothers, and sisters, and created a
special place for us in the Royal Family of God for eternity.
Let
us thank God every day for His love, grace, and mercy in sending Jesus to be
the appeasement for our sins so that by faith in His sacrifice, we might become
sons and daughters of God and joint-heirs with Christ Jesus.
