Psalm 136:1 and 26 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of heaven His love endures forever.
Our
thanksgiving stems from God’s goodness, love, grace, and mercy. The unwavering
reason we praise and thank God is because of His goodness and inexhaustible
love without deterioration and everlasting. The truth of God’s Holy Word
persists through all generations of the world. Therefore, God’s very eternal
existence should saturate every fiber of our being and delight the heart of
God’s children with the fullness of His joy and a spirit of gratitude.
God
liberates the perishing, forgives the guilty, shields and shelters the weak,
and satisfies the hungry with His goodness. He relieves the grief-stricken,
mends those with broken hearts, gives His abundant grace to help those in need,
and fulfills all His promises. Therefore, our Lord and Savior is worthy of all
our praise and thanksgiving. He is the one true God of all time and eternity.
As
God’s children, bought and paid for by the Blood of Jesus, we should live in a
state of rejoicing. Certainly, worship and praise were the central methods
given to us by the great Kings of Israel, such as David and Solomon. We should
follow the refrain of the Psalmist and present our most heartfelt thanksgiving
and praise to God because of His goodness and His love that is without end.
May
we all show thanksgiving to God, always remembering His holiness. May we
continually praise God for sending His one and only Son Jesus to suffer and die
on the Cross for our eternal life. May we never stop giving thanks to the Lord
because His love, grace, mercy, and lovingkindness are eternal.
