Bible Verse of the Day Wednesday April 11th ,2022

Hebrews 13:7 Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.

The Holy Spirit tells us three (3) things good Christian leaders do, in this scripture verse. Number one (1), they teach others God's Holy Word. Number two (2) live their lives to be an excellent example to others. Lastly, number three (3), they have recognizable faith. Therefore, God will grant us an opportunity to be an influence on those around us at certain times. The list of people could include our children, grandchildren, our friends, and other brothers and sisters in Christ, and the list could go on.

The leaders in God's sphere of influence are not always our Pastors, Deacons, and Teachers. Although God blesses these called individuals to help others grow in their spiritual lives, God calls every Christian to be a leader. We carry out this calling from God by leading others to Christ Jesus. The greatest thing that one human being can do for another is to introduce them to Jesus and His saving Grace. We are to follow Godly leadership in our Christian lives, those leaders that are faithful to follow God's Word and live Godly lives. The Apostle Paul advised Timothy concerning following the lead of faithful Christian leadership (1 Timothy 4:16). Our Church leaders are by no means perfect, but the examples of Christ Jesus should show through in their lives.

A Grandmother took her 8-year-old granddaughter to church. On the drive home the young child told her grandmother she was confused. She said in the sermon that the preacher said that God was big enough to encompass the whole world. The grandmother assured her that was true. The child then said the preacher told everyone that God could dwell in each of us; again, the grandmother told the child that was true. Then, in her childlike wisdom, the granddaughter said Well, if he's big enough to encompass the whole world and lives in each one of us, Wouldn't He show through?

Wouldn't He show through indeed. Let us all pray that we would be better Christian leaders to folks God places in our lives. So that we might be able to, by our example, lead all those that God places in our path to the saving grace of Christ Jesus. Let us also pray that God might empower us to live a life worth imitating.
