Ephesians 6:24 Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.
We can find some of the
important pronouncements concerning God’s grace in Paul’s letter to the
Ephesians. However, the one in our verse for today could be one of the
strongest. God’s grace is available to every human being on this planet,
whether it is accepted or not. God’s grace is always in our midst as we
demonstrate our love for Christ Jesus with unswerving trust and faith.
Sometimes, our display of passion is not as bright as it should be and our
witness of the gospel to other people lags.
Our love for our Lord and
Savior, Christ Jesus, should always be our only means of life’s advancement.
There is not a thing this world can offer us that is worth sacrificing our walk
with God. We should never allow anything to extinguish the flame that Jesus has
lit in our hearts, minds, bodies, and souls. Some at the Church in Ephesus had
lost their love of Christ Jesus (Revelations 2:4). If we lose our admiration
for who Jesus is and no longer desire His presence in our lives, our love for
Him has disintegrated (1 Corinthians 16:22).
We are saved by God’s grace
when we place our faith and trust in Christ Jesus as our Lord and Savior. None
of the credit for our salvation can come from anything we do; it is a free gift
from God, by His grace. If we could do something to obtain our salvation, our
human nature would boast like a proud banty rooster (Ephesians 2:8-9). When we
call on God to place us under His grace system and identify with what Jesus did
on Calvary on our behalf, the outcome of our life will be identified with
Christ from that day forward. Allowing ourselves to come under the umbrella of
God’s grace will bring us into a newness of life that gives us eternal
life.
