Bible Verse of the Day Tuesday July 19th, 2022

Psalm 37:7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes

In this verse, heaven is telling us we can calm down and come into the presence of God, reliant on the knowledge that He will keep His promises. We know from the evidence of God’s Word and the testimonies of millions of people that God will never leave or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6; Hebrews 13:5). The Holy Word of God is His story and is the most incredible testimony of His faithfulness ever known or will ever be known. Therefore, we can be at ease in His presence and place our souls and future eternal life in His trustworthy hands.

Children of God obtain compensation for living in a manner faithful to the precept of His Holy Word and the Gospel of Christ Jesus. There is a “Faith Hall of Fame” that can be found in Hebrews chapter 11, listing many servants of God that kept the faith no matter how rough their paths became. Sustaining amid a trial or tribulation will cultivate strength and integrity in our walk with Christ Jesus (James 1:4). Jesus suffered during His walk among us as a human, and if we wish to have fellowship with Him, we must endure our suffering (2 Timothy 2:12; Revelation 1:9). Perseverance is a daily activity that must become as natural as breathing if we want to see advancement in our sanctification process, and our Spiritual Growth.

No one knows when Christ Jesus will return to earth to take His children home to be with Him. Not even the Angels in Heaven are privy to this information; only Father God knows when this glorious event will occur (Matthew 24:36). As Christians, we must calculate our every step with the return of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. When we stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ as every saved believer will do, the only question that will matter is if we lived by faith (2 Corinthians 5:9-11).

The most demanding and challenging tribulations we face are when we know we must follow God’s will and His promises seem so far out of reach. In reality, God’s promises are never out of reach, but Satan will place a fog between God and us, so they seem out of reach. When this occurs, we must resist the temptations of Satan by drawing near to God. Once we are near God, Satan will not want to be there, and He will flee from us. (James 4:7-8).
