2 Corinthians 4:6 For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.
The very first words
of God concerning this earth we live on was "let there be light."
Moreover, that same Word of God in the dawn of every born-again washed in the
blood, follower, and believer of Christ Jesus is also "let there be light."
It was God that spoke over dark earth at the dawn of creation, and it is God
that dissipates the darkness in the human heart and allows the light of the
World, Christ Jesus, to enter a saved soul.
The world of the
unsaved souls is filled with only darkness because the prince of this world (2
Corinthians 4:4) has blinded the unbeliever's minds from the light of the
world, Christ Jesus (John 8:12).
As soon as the heart of one that is lost awakes in the faith of the gospel of Christ Jesus, the darkness surrounding them dispels, and the light that is Christ Jesus fills their life. Our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus is the light of life; through him, we have been forgiven of our sins and received the gift of eternal life.
If a person desires to escape the darkness and evil of the ones that have rejected the light of the world, they have but to "turn their eyes upon Jesus," and as the old hymn says, "the things of this world will become strangely dim." God has made it possible for all to come to a knowledge of the true light through an external witness of nature itself as well as a witness of our conscience. He has given the world the resounding and conclusive witness of His Holy Word so that all that receive Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior in faith will have the right to become children of God and be adopted into His royal family (Ephesians 1:5).
The most beautiful aspect of this is that no matter where we travel down life's road, no matter how rocky our paths become or how dark the way we walk seems, the light of the world is not only leading, guiding, and directing our every step but dwells in our hearts and souls, as the indwelling of His Holy Spirit. This miracle will lead to peace in life that cannot be explained or even comprehended by the world's understanding (Philippians 4:7).
